Jet Linx First to Earn New ARGUS Platinum Elite Safety Designation

Jet Linx continues to lead in aviation safety, so it’s only fitting that Jet Linx stands as the very first operator to receive the new ARGUS Platinum Elite rating. The ARGUS Platinum Elite functions as the industry’s first true consumer-visible continuous monitoring evaluation system.

“Since our initial partnership with ARGUS in 2007 as one of the first private aviation operators to receive an ARGUS Platinum rating, we have been steadfast in our commitment to elevate safety in our industry,” said Jamie Walker, President and CEO of Jet Linx Aviation. “Now, as the first operator to receive Platinum Elite status, we are excited to usher in a new standard of safety in private aviation and in transparency to the private aviation consumer.”

As recently as January of 2020, Jet Linx earned re-certification as an ARGUS Platinum-rated operator for the eighth consecutive review cycle. In the entire United States, there are only 70 Platinum-rated operators, making it a rare and difficult certification to attain. Jet Linx first earned the rating in 2007 and has upheld the Platinum rating ever since.

With Jet Linx earning this new Platinum Elite designation – while upholding the rare ARGUS Platinum rating – the company continues to stand at the forefront of the private aviation industry when it comes to safety.

Founded in 1995 and headquartered in Colorado, ARGUS International (ARGUS), a member of the SGS Group, is the leader in Aviation Data, Software, Audits, and Certification Services. ARGUS continues to be the national leader in on-site safety audits, Flight Tracking software solutions such as TRAQPak and ClearView, and SMS software, SafetyLinQ and PRISM ARMOR – all regarded as the most efficient and accurate in the industry.

With over 25 years of experience and having conducted over 3,000 audits across the industry, ARGUS International found that the industry was lacking a continuous monitoring audit program. The ARGUS Audit Team built Platinum Elite from the ground up based on the needs of passengers and operators, and Jet Linx provided valuable input and data over a crucial six-year development cycle.

“Platinum Elite is the result of the next evolution in aviation safety audits.  Our continuous monitoring evaluation system provides the operator and the customer with near real-time safety analysis – something the industry has been requesting for a long time,” said, Joe Moeggenberg, Founder and CEO of ARGUS International.

ARGUS Platinum Elite builds upon the ARGUS Platinum rating by refining how ARGUS integrates with operators. After building an industry-first active monitoring system (ACM) and creating a performance monitoring platform, ARGUS can now assure standards are continuously met and changes to their operation are actively managed; thus truly monitoring an operator.

But what does this new rating mean for Jet Linx clients and other private aviation users?

Platinum Elite now provides increased visibility into the safety of business aviation. Knowing that a Platinum Elite operator is actively monitored by this new ARGUS tool reduces overall workload, making it easier for operators to share data regarding their operations. This data then flows through different registries where passengers, operators, and the public can research which operator is meeting industry best practices.

In addition to ARGUS Platinum Elite and ARGUS Platinum, Jet Linx maintains the Wyvern Wingman Standard and IS-BAO (International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations) Stage 3 ratings. Jet Linx is one of only 12 air carriers in the U.S. with the highest rating from each of these programs.

It’s important to note that none of these safety ratings come required by the FAA. They are time-intensive, costly and require diligent management. However, Jet Linx will never cease to invest in safety, as safety management goes hand-in-hand with day-to-day improvement of operations and provides a superior experience to clients.
