“Congratulations to Jimmy Walker after his performance at the Valero Texas Open,” said Tom Northington, Jet Linx San Antonio Base President. “We are proud to be Jimmy’s partner in private aviation, and we love seeing him perform out on the green – especially in a hometown tournament.”

Walker slipped on the tournament’s championship boots for the first time after he beat fellow 2014 Ryder Cup teammate Jordan Spieth by four strokes. Walker’s birdie putts Sunday at No. 16 and No. 17 gave him a 2-under 70, contributing to his 11-under 277 at TPC San Antonio. Walker’s win at VTO was the first time in nine weeks on the PGA Tour a 54-hole leader’s advantage translated to a victory.

The 2014 VTO raised $9 million for charity, taking the event’s lifetime total to $95 million. The tournament is the third oldest in the PGA, and has always been held in San Antonio.

The Valero Texas Open is Walker’s fifth career Tour win and second this season. He will tee off this week in the Shell Houston Open before playing in the Masters Tournament at Augusta on April 9. He leads in points for the FedEx Cup and holds a career-high 10th place world ranking.
