My Home Base – Ray Bennett, Jet Linx National Operations Center

In each edition of My Home Base, we feature a member of the Jet Linx team from across the country and showcase what they feel makes their Jet Linx location and their city special. In this edition, meet Ray Bennett, Jet Linx Vice President of Sales.

Favorite part of your job: Interacting with team members and our clients, and working towards a common goal of being the best in the business.

Describe the Jet Linx team in one word: Dedicated.

Favorite Jet Linx memory or experience: I remember the courtship of employment with Jet Linx, beginning with my attempts as a member of the whole aircraft sales community to sell Jamie Walker, Jet Linx President and CEO, a TurboProp aircraft. He pointed to the logo and noted “It’s Jet Linx, not Prop Linx.” Eventually, he instead sold me on the company he was building. The real experience has been since watching Jet Linx grow and thrive in an industry that has seen continual ups and downs.

Favorite thing about Omaha: Working at the National Operations Center gives me the ability to experience first-hand the benefits of each of our base locations and our local approach.

Little known fact about yourself, or favorite hobby: My mother was a professional ice skater so I grew up on ice skates and my father was the Director of Aviation for a corporate flight department, hence my love of hockey and aviation. I also love to cook in my free time.

What might someone find surprising about your job: It’s not just about selling. My position allows me to interact with every department in our company, including Accounting, Crewing, Maintenance, Marketing, and Customer Service.
