My Home Base – Josh Carstensen, Jet Linx National Operations Center

In each edition of My Home Base, we feature a member of the Jet Linx team from across the country and showcase what they feel makes their Jet Linx location and their city special. In this edition, meet Josh Carstensen, Jet Linx Crew Coordination Manager.

Favorite part of your job: Adapting to new circumstances and situations daily.

Describe the Jet Linx team in one word:  Steadfast – our commitment to safety and customer service is unwavering.

Favorite Jet Linx memory or experience: The 2014 Super Bowl in New York City. This was my first opportunity to supervise operations for a peak travel event. Considering the already congested airspace, the Super Bowl required a high level of planning. It was a privilege to see our ability to adapt, overcome, and deliver a high level of service on one of the biggest days of the year. We continue to do this every year, but that first Super Bowl experience stands out as my first realization of the operational challenges of private aviation and the capabilities of our team.

Favorite thing about Omaha: The NCAA Men’s College World Series every summer!

Little known fact about yourself, or favorite hobby: My favorite hobbies include camping, fishing and hunting.

What might someone find surprising about your job: Every department works as team – not one department can function individually. It takes all of our team acting as one to accomplish our goals and provide the best service in the industry!
