The historic Hotel Jerome has been part of Aspen’s story since it opened as the town’s first hotel in 1889. Still housed in the original building (albeit with an updated interior and an expansion), the hotel was purchased by Auberge in 2012. While it retains its small-town charm, it now offers a fresh take on the Old West with a gorgeously-decorated bar, in-house ski rentals, a luxe spa, and two full-service restaurants. The three-story brick structure, built during the height of the silver boom, has stood as a luxury landmark in Aspen for more than 120 years.
The warm, stately interior features deep greens and rich leathers with Rocky Mountain touches like plaid and vintage portraits placed throughout public spaces. Luxury suites are bigger than some Manhattan apartments, outfitted with oversized everything: king bed, leather sleeper sofa, extra-large desk, extra-large bath. Cashmere curtains cover floor-to-ceiling windows and burnished leather bed frames beckon Western history and Native American roots.
Two onsite restaurants offer dining options geared for any occasion, from a low key cocktail to an upscale American bistro with a legendary Sunday Brunch. The Hotel Jerome also offers a redesigned pool and dining terrace with two hot tubs and cozy cabanas, with a small but beautiful spa in the basement for post-ski massages and treatments. Other amenities include babysitting, dry cleaning, a gym and valet parking.
