My Home Base – Brian Niewohner, Jet Linx National Operations Center
In each edition of My Home Base, we feature a member of the Jet Linx team from across the country and showcase what they feel makes their Jet Linx location and their city special. In this edition, meet Brian Niewohner, Jet Linx Systems Administrator 1.
Favorite part of your job: Meeting all of the new Jet Linx team members on their first day during INDOC.
Describe the Jet Linx experience/team in one word: Unrivaled.
Favorite Jet Linx memory or experience: Our team outing to an escape room here in Omaha. We had to work as a group to solve the problems and get out in time. It was a great team-building exercise!
Favorite thing about Omaha: Eppley Airfield. Its small enough the lines are short and you can walk through the entire terminal is just a few minutes, but you can get almost anywhere from Omaha.
Little known fact about yourself, or favorite hobby: I work on my parents farm alongside working at Jet Linx, sometimes doing double duty to make sure the day-to-day operations of both are running smoothly.
What someone might find surprising about your job: I’m not always an expert on the system or software that I’m helping a user with, but I will go out of my way to learn so I can answer any question they have.
