The NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) is one of the largest aviation conventions in the world and provides the opportunity to bring the business aviation community together.

The 2023 NBAA was held at the Las Vegas Convention Center from Octotber 17-19 and featured hundreds of exhibits, expert-led panel discussions, static aircraft displays, and award ceremonies honoring the top organizations and individuals in the aviation industry. Jet Linx is proud to announce two team members were recipients of the prestigious NBAA awards.

Michael Kopp, Vice President of Operations at Jet Linx, was awarded the 2023 Dr. Tony Kern Professionalism in Aviation Award from the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA). First awarded in 2016, the Professionalism in Aviation Award honors U.S. Air Force veteran and Convergent Performance co-founder Dr. Kern, who has authored nine books on human performance. This award recognizes Kopp’s outstanding leadership, professionalism and commitment to safety in business aviation. As a leader at Jet Linx, Kopp embodies the values of professional ethics, vocational excellence, continuous improvement, engagement and selflessness that the Tony Kern Award represents. Kopp continually pushes for quality performance and his can-do-better approach filters down to all levels of operation at Jet Linx, ensuring a safe and reliable flight experience for clients.

In addition, Jet Linx Director of Safety Patrick McGuire was selected for the 40 Under 40 award from the NBAA. This year, a record number of nominations were submitted across nine categories, and McGuire was recognized for his innovative approach to safety management in business aviation within the Business Management category. Since joining Jet Linx, McGuire has spearheaded the implementation of airline-style safety practices tailored for business aviation. He has also demonstrated creative problem solving to address unique safety challenges in the private aviation industry. His leadership and fresh perspective have further strengthened Jet Linx’s industry-leading safety culture and programs.
