Step Inside a Brand New Jet Linx San Antonio

IN OCTOBER 2020, JET LINX SAN ANTONIO MOVED INTO AN ENTIRELY NEW, STANDALONE BUILDING WITH 4,000 SQUARE FEET OF GLEAMING NEW OFFICE AND TERMINAL SPACE AND 30,000 SQUARE FEET OF HANGAR SPACE.

Jet Linx San Antonio has proudly served clients at the San Antonio International Airport since 2011. The new private terminal affirms the Base’s commitment to area clients and to continuing to elevate the Jet Linx flight experience.

On top of various amenities to improve client experience, the new building houses four large offices, a kitchen, a conference room and a bright central lobby. The modern, open-concept design maximizes usable space and the floor-to-ceiling windows allow natural light to shine throughout the spacious terminal.

Immediately upon entry, clients see a stack stone wall with a brushed metal Jet Linx logo. Directly to the right, a Concierge desk faces the front of the building, where clients can be greeted and then ushered to the lounge and refreshment area. A neutral color palette made up of gray woodgrain flooring and durable off-white countertops are contrasted by dark wood cabinetry.

The kitchenette and adjacent high-top table create an entertainment space that doubles as an informal area for business clients to remain productive.

“This new space is not only attractive and inviting, it’s functional and designed to improve the level of service we offer to our clients,” said Steve Gentry, San Antonio Base Vice President. “Everything is now centralized in one location. From an operational standpoint, it allows much more control over maintenance and customer service. That will translate to an even more consistent, high-end service that our clients expect and deserve.”

Expansive windows frame the entrance to the new building, allowing Flight Concierge teams to prepare for arrivals before anyone walks through the door. Gentry explained that the layout of the former space made this sort of wraparound service more difficult. The redesigned terminal places emphasis on visibility, open spaces and clean lines that naturally guide guests to comfortable lounge areas.

In the lounge area, Jet Linx clients will be treated to a large L-shaped leather sofa accented by two side chairs and a large coffee table, creating a cozy group setting, perfect for group meetings or happy hour before boarding. In an ode to the yesteryear of aviation, four aluminum-skin and distressed leather chairs add a splash of vintage flair and create a more private area for sitting. Wall-mounted, aviation-themed artwork alternates with pieces that reflect the rich history and culture of San Antonio, providing a distinctly local feel.

With a private meeting room and Wifi connectivity, business travelers have the ability to stay online and stay on top of priorities while in transit.

“The new private terminal is much more conducive to entertaining clients,” Gentry continued. “We now have a bar area that doubles as a workstation, complete with a 75-inch mounted screen. Just next to that we have a refreshment area with an ice machine and wine chiller.” Gentry added that clients also have the option to use the dedicated conference room. Of course, hi-speed Wifi is available throughout the terminal.

The larger hangar space also adds perks for clients and team members at future events. Gentry explained that two industrial fans keep the 30,000- square-foot hangar comfortable even in Texas heat. “Even on a 102 degree-day, those fans keep it pleasant inside. The added space also allows us to park client’s vehicles inside, which is a significant improvement from our former location.”

The new, high-end terminal in San Antonio joins the growing portfolio of Jet Linx private terminals that offer seclusion, safety and security, as well as consistent Five-Star service.
