Jet Linx Scottsdale Base Partner Jon Hulburd grew up in the West and has raised his family of five children in Phoenix, Ariz. He is a businessman and an attorney whose work has taken him from Capitol Hill to a partnership in an Arizona law firm. Perhaps most significantly, Jon has spent his adult life working to improve the circumstances of the people around him, particularly those of children who face life-threatening illness.

In 2010, Jon ran for Congress in Arizona’s 3rd district (Phoenix) against Republican Ben Quayle. What first appeared to be a safe Republican seat turned into one of the most watched races in the country. His fiscal conservatism and progressive positions on social issues made him popular with Republicans and Independents.

Jon now focuses most of his attention on making a difference in his community. He believes some of his best work has been in the not-for-profit sector. He donated his legal skills to the Golden Gate Community Center in Phoenix (a HeadStart facility serving the Latino community of South Phoenix), and his time to All Saints’ Episcopal Day School. He is also a Lifebird in the famous Phoenix Thunderbirds (the hosts of the PGA Phoenix Open).

“Our original mission has always been to promote our home, the Valley of the Sun,” Hulburd said. “We still do that, even as our home has grown to be the fifth largest city in the country.”

Hulburd is currently on the Board of Directors for New Way Academy (a private school for kids with learning differences), the MVP Foundation (serving at-risk middle-school boys) and Phoenix Children’s Hospital, where he serves as Chairman.
