Magic In Omaha for Make-A-Wish Teen

For a few hours on Monday morning, the terminal at Jet Linx Omaha became a place of witchcraft and wizardy…for a very special purpose.

Before beginning a Make-A-Wish journey, 15-year-old Keyton arrived with his family, unaware of what was waiting for him inside. The space had been thoughtfully transformed with Harry Potter–inspired details, including a balloon arch, floating candles, and a Platform 93/4 display complete with themed luggage and Hedwig the owl.

Keyton lives with a gastrointestinal disorder that requires daily medical care, including receiving nourishment through a feeding tube. Despite those challenges, his love for Harry Potter has always been a constant. He has read or listened to every book, watched nearly every film, and proudly identifies as a Ravenclaw.

As the family entered, the moment unfolded. A character inspired by Ollivander welcomed Keyton beside a wand display case and presented him with a custom wand created just for him. The two spent time talking about wand lore, characters, and favorite moments from the series.

Keyton and his brothers each had a turn wearing a talking Sorting Hat, drawing smiles and laughter as it called out their houses. A Ravenclaw house flag hung nearby and Hogwarts VIP badges were handed out, making each of them feel part of the story.

Keyton’s wish was to visit The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios, especially Diagon Alley. His wish also included time at the Disney parks and SeaWorld, where he looked forward to seeing sea animals up close. For Keyton and his family, the sendoff beginning in Omaha offered a welcome pause from daily routines and a chance to simply dwell in a magical moment.

“Taking care of the communities we serve is a part of our Jet Linx DNA,” said Nicole Swickle, VP of Marketing at Jet Linx. “When we’re able to bring a little light to someone’s day, it creates a ripple effect in our own lives, both personally and professionally. Keyton is pure magic, and the work Make-A-Wish does for kids and families is so much bigger than business.”

Across the cities we serve, our team always looks for ways to support moments that matter. Sometimes that means lending time and creativity. Other times, it means simply creating space for something wonderful to happen.
