Jet Linx Omaha Hosts University of Nebraska at Omaha & University Aviation Association Event
Jet Linx Omaha welcomed The University of Nebraska at Omaha Aviation Institute and the University Aviation Association to their private jet terminal and hangar on September 28 for an opening reception to UAA’s annual conference. “The event, sponsored by the UNO Aviation Institute and Piedmont Airlines, brought together conference attendees from across the country, and even other countries,” said Ashley Way, Jet Linx Omaha General Manager. “It gave them a chance to gather and meet one another before the conference started. Aircraft manufacturers Cirrus, Piper, and Textron also came in with various aircraft to provide guests with a great static display.”
The event is the latest show of support from Jet Linx of the UNO Aviation Institute. “Jet Linx Aviation and UNO have a long history of partnership. In supporting the UNO Aviation Institute, we are able to meet future members of the aviation industry, and several of them have joined our Jet Linx Omaha and our National Operations Center teams,” Way explained. “It’s a mutually beneficial arrangement, and we look forward to supporting the Aviation Institute in the future.” The event included delicious snacks and drinks from Spirit World, a performance from a UNO student jazz band, and a flight simulator from FRASCA.
“Everyone loved the facility, the food, and the display of aircraft from Cirrus, Piper, Textron and the FRASCA [simulator],” said Scott Vlasek, Aviation Institute Director. “We could not have done it without your support.”
