Celebrating Jet Linx Private Jet Communities

It’s no surprise that Jet Linx takes the local approach to doing business: each of our ten Bases have local Base Partners, local Client Service teams, and locally based private jet aircraft and crew. We fully engage with the communities we call home, and are proud to support a number of worthy organizations nationwide. Read on to see how Your Personal Jet Company supports philanthropic work in your neighborhood:

Taste of Speed // Jet Linx Atlanta

private-jet-taste-of-speedAtlanta’s elite joined together at the Jet Linx Atlanta hangar to raise funds for children’s charity Bert’s Big Adventure while enjoying a ‘Taste of Speed!’ Beautiful airplanes, fast cars, and aerial acrobats were just the tip of the iceberg for this bespoke event. This year’s live auction benefited Bert’s Big Adventure, an Atlanta-based charity that sends chronic and terminally ill children and their families on all-expenses paid trips to Walt Disney World, and provides support beyond the trip through Fairy Godparent programs. “This year, Taste of Speed generated a wonderful turnout of over 650 guests who arrived at Jet Linx Atlanta ready to contribute for a great cause at our hangar,” said Chandler Hartley, Jet Linx Atlanta Client Service Specialist.

Jet Linx Dallas Base Partner Denny Carreker and his wife Connie chaired the highly successful Premier Celebration of Equest, to support the organization that provides therapeutic horsemanship to those in need. “The organization is 34 years old and has always been about 45 minutes outside of Dallas,” Denny explained. “This year they received a long term lease at Texas Horse Park near downtown Dallas, which is a major breakthrough in terms of proximity to the clients they serve, including veterans and children with disabilities.” This year’s sold-out event welcomed 500 guests to Texas Horse Park, including Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings and Representative Pete Sessions. The event raised over $500,000 to support equine-assisted activities for clients with diverse needs.

JDRF Promise Gala // Jet Linx Indy

private-jet-ind-jdrf-galaJet Linx Indy joined JDRF Indiana as a Topaz Partner for this year’s Promise Gala, Tires & Tuxes for Type 1. The cause to fight diabetes is one close to the hearts of the Jet Linx Indy team: both Base President Casey Blake’s daughter and Client Service Specialist Kaitlyn Smith’s fiancé are affected by the disease. “The 2015 JDRF Promise Gala was an incredible event to attend,” Smith said. “The cause hits close to home as my fiancé has diabetes and getting to see so many people generously donate to the research meant the world to me. It also made me very proud to work for a company that supports the JDRF mission.” The event raised over $900,000 to support diabetes research.

KidSmart // Jet Linx St. Louis

charter-jet-stl-kidsmartJet Linx St. Louis opened its doors and rolled out the red carpet for the 11th Annual Joe Buck Celebrity Squares, benefiting KidSmart: Tools for Learning on May 13. The event raised over $250,000 for KidSmart, enabling them to provide no-cost school supplies students in St. Louis.

Over 90,000 students in St. Louis can’t afford basic school supplies like pencils, paper and crayons. Since its opening in 2002, the KidSmart Free Store has provided more than $27 million in school supplies to over 100,000 economically disadvantaged children in the St. Louis area.

The event was held in the Jet Linx St. Louis private terminal and hangar. Opened in 2012, it is the only private terminal at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport.

“Jet Linx St. Louis is proud to support KidSmart,” said Rich Ropp, Jet Linx St. Louis Base President. “KidSmart provides an important service to the St. Louis community, and the positive effect they have in the community is just tremendous.”
