Since 2019, the Jet Linx National Operations Center (NOC) team in Omaha has proudly supported the Burke High School Air and Space Academy”>Burke High School Air and Space Academy (BASA) by offering direct access to groundbreaking opportunities such as internships, mentorships and pipelines to aviation careers. Jet Linx has been a longtime supporter and partner of the University of Nebraska at Omaha Aviation Institute, but BASA presents an opportunity to grant opportunities to younger prospects – and helps to support one of the country’s best high school aviation programs. From coordinating field trips to making pilots available for classroom lectures or through fundraising, Jet Linx remains dedicated to propping up the next generation of aviators.

Through involvement with BASA, Jet Linx also began lending support to Aviation STEMaha, an Omaha-based organization dedicated to getting young people interested in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) and aviation careers – and that includes anything from design to mechanics to studying the weather. STEMaha received assistance from the Jet Linx Marketing department to rebrand and better connect local aviation organizations under one larger and more cohesive umbrella. By sharing a physical workspace with a local Experimental Aircraft Association chapter, students of all ages can help build their own aircraft, construct drones, and attend events hosted by other local aviation or STEM-focused groups. Jet Linx continues to seize opportunities to help young aviators access the resources they need so that their dreams may take flight.
