Bunker Hill Farms Birthday Surprise

Jet Linx Elevated Lifestyle program partner Bunker Hill Farms offers upscale getaways for guests seeking an ultra-private, invitation-only experience.

The luxury resort features 450 private acres for exclusive use by only one group at a time. Bunker Hill Farms (BHF) guests set the pace through custom-curated, all-inclusive experiences that include chef-prepared menus, a plethora of recreational options and concierge service at every turn.

The true beauty of Bunker Hill Farms lies within the purpose of its mission, Bunker Hill Charities, with all event proceeds granted to local charitable organizations. In 2021, Bunker Hill Charities granted $300,000 to more than 51 agencies, and since 2016 has distributed more than $2,000,000 in grants to local charities.

Jet Linx Member Doug Cayce, President of TransChicago Truck Group, wanted to surprise his wife, Allyson, for a milestone birthday. Cayce contacted the team at Bunker Hill Farms, and that’s when the BHF team began planning down to the finest details. “We know many of our clients don’t have the luxury of time on their hands, so after gathering a few important pieces of information, we began curating an agenda and noting things such as guest preferences and dietary restrictions, while planning special enhancement items,” said Ashley Ochse, President at Bunker Hill Farms. “Realizing one of our guests had a dietary restriction, our executive chef customized an entire weekend’s menu filled with crowd-pleasing fare,” Ochse explained.

Cayce and the BHF property team wanted to make the surprise special. Knowing that Cayce’s wife, Allyson, wanted to view fall foliage, Cayce told her that they were going to be viewing the fall colors from a unique vantage point. The surprise unfolded when their helicopter landed at Bunker Hill Farms – with friends and family waiting on the veranda with champagne, hors d’oeuvres, and a meticulously-planned birthday weekend that included golf, ATV tours, yoga, a cooking class, couples massages, visits to the shooting range, bonfires and a surprise live music performance. Guests also enjoyed a gourmet dinner with a custom menu that included an amuse-bouche of crudo, pan-roasted halibut with peach fennel slaw, and Budino for dessert.

“We work as closely as possible with our guests to ensure that our agendas match their interests, and we often craft itineraries with multiple entertainment options. Our personalized, proactive, guest-focused approach gives us incredible insight into the activities, services, and amenities our clients will truly appreciate and enjoy,” Ochse explained.
