The Jet Linx model continues to expand in major cities across the United States. The company celebrated a new private aviation terminal at Laurence G. Hanscom Field in Boston in June 2019.
Boston’s grand opening was a highly-anticipated affair for the private aviation community. More than 120 guests marveled at elegant aircraft from Bombardier, Embraer, Falcon, Gulfstream, and Textron Aviation. Passed hors d’oeuvres and elevated cocktails filled the hangar. Senior management from the Jet Linx National Operations Center joined local team members, pilots, clients, and other local aviation professionals.
Jet Linx currently finds itself in a period of steady and uninterrupted growth. The members-only facility in Boston opened shortly after Jet Linx Chicago, and serves as a beautiful reminder that the model continues to shine. The Boston grand opening event also came on the heels of another industry milestone in March 2019 – 100 million miles flown by the company. Much of those 100 million miles came in just the last five years of business.
“There was a lot of anticipation and excitement leading up to this day because it’s been in the works for a long time. Our Boston location really sparkled for this event,” said Brad Drew, Senior Vice President of Sales at Jet Linx. As a native Bostonian, the evening was particularly special for Drew. “Having this kind of grand opening celebration says to the rest of the aviation community that we have arrived, and we’re here to stay. We don’t just have an 8x10 office suite in the airport, we have a beautiful complex that is sure to be noticed.”
Drew was not the only Boston-born team member to make a trip to the special event. “I was born and raised in South Shore Massachusetts. The Boston location holds a special place in my heart,” said Erin Donnelly, Vice President of Fleet Management. Donnelly has been a member of the Jet Linx leadership team for nine years. “To see Jet Linx expand into my hometown is extremely gratifying. The private terminal is tastefully designed and will add value to our members, aircraft owners, and the entire Boston community. I can’t wait to watch Jet Linx spread its wings on the East Coast!”
Another native of Massachusetts returned home from an aviation role in New York City in order to help Jet Linx grow in Boston. “I see a demand for privacy and personalization in private jet travel,” explained Erin Mulcahy, Jet Linx Boston Lead Client Service Specialist. “Our approach will fulfill a lot of needs present within the aviation market in Boston. The experiences we create are individualized and the local team on the ground is invaluable to our clients’ flight experience. You receive the guaranteed availability and fixed hourly rates you expect, with greater attention placed on customer service.”
“Boston is one of our most valuable markets and continues to show significant growth,” remarked Jamie Walker, Jet Linx President and CEO. “We look forward to providing our guaranteed Jet Card and aircraft management program to local clients in order to meet this demand.”
Senior team members at Jet Linx have a shared excitement for what this new Base promises. “We’re humbled by the open arms we’ve received in Boston. We are excited to further enhance the private aviation experience with a state-of-the-art private terminal,” shared Jay Vidlak, Senior Vice President at Jet Linx. “The addition of Jet Linx Boston further expands our national footprint and creates an even deeper presence in the Northeast.”
Boston President Brad Rosse previously worked in the same facility under the banner of a different organization. He is excited to now lead the efforts at Jet Linx Boston. “I have only moved a few feet from where I formerly worked, yet I feel the excitement of something new here in Boston. Our new private terminal in Boston embodies Jet Linx’s continued effort to provide customers with a differentiated and truly personalized experience. Our members and aircraft owners now have even more access to a variety of services and amenities available exclusively in our private terminal.”
Rosse is joined by two native Bostonian Base Partners, both respected members of the local community. Samuel Byrne serves as managing partner and co-founder of CrossHarbor Capital Partners, and David Fialkow is co-founder and managing director of General Catalyst.
“All the pieces have really come together. We have a good team with a strong vision, willing to serve the city of Boston. Most importantly, we now have a beautiful terminal from which to serve our clients,” Rosse beamed.
