(February 17, 2012) Jet Linx: Jet Linx Aviation has recently added two new Embraer Phenom 300 aircraft to its fleet of private jets under aircraft management in Dallas and Austin. In addition to a roomy interior, the cabin sports a modern style and fully enclosed lavatory. The Phenom 300 truly is the next generation of light jet aircraft.

(September 20, 2011) Jet Linx – This past week President Barack Obama has proposed raising taxes and fees for private jet travelers as part of an effort to resolve the budget deficit. Jet Linx Aviation has joined other industry organizations in the fight to oppose such taxes and fees.

The Obama administration’s plan for reducing the deficit includes charging a $100 per-flight fee on turbine-powered aircraft, including private jets, that use the country’s air-traffic-control system. Obama’s recommendations show that the fee would raise about $11 billion over the next decade – a drop in the bucket for resolving the budget deficit and an unwarranted additional fee when current per-gallon fuel charges for private jets are considered.

“We already pay more than our fair share of taxes – more than the alcohol and tobacco industries, whose products are taxed at levels to discourage their use,” said Nicholas Calio, President of the Air Transport Association.

The National Business Aviation Association, the Aircraft Electronics Association, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, the Experimental Aircraft Association, the General Aviation Manufacturers Association, Helicopter Association International, the International Council of Air Shows, the National Association of State Aviation Officials, and the National Air Transportation Association jointly issued the following statement:

“As primary representatives of the general aviation community, we are expressing our unified opposition to the new $100 per flight tax in your proposal. We believe this per-flight tax not only imposes a significant new administrative burden on general aviation operators who currently pay through an efficient per-gallon fuel charge at the pump, but it will also necessitate the creation of a costly new federal collection bureaucracy.

As you know, the issue of how general aviation can best contribute revenue to the federal government has been the subject of significant study and debate as part of the FAA reauthorization process. After careful consideration, both chambers of Congress have passed bills that endorse the per-gallon fuel charges rather than adopt a per-flight tax similar to the one you propose. In fact, Democrats and Republicans in the House of Representatives felt so strongly about this issue that 116 members of that body sent you a letter earlier this year saying new aviation charges like the one you are now proposing would be ‘dead on arrival.

Mr. President, many foreign countries have imposed per-flight charges on general aviation and the results have been devastating. Please do not go down the dangerous path and cost jobs in our community.

Per-gallon fuel charges work. Per-flight taxes destroy.”

Please join the fight to oppose President Obama’s tax and user fees for private jet travelers.

The Hawker 400XP (previously named the Beechjet 400A), is a private jet manufactured by HawkerBeechcraft, has been a competitive option for private jet clients since debuting into the Light Jet private jet marketplace.

(August 25, 2011) Jet Linx: According to JPMorgan North American Equity Research in its latest monthly private jet market update, demand for new private jets “showed signs of perking up” in the 2nd quarter. However, it is perturbed about macroeconomic concerns. “Updates from the business jet OEMs were generally encouraging, though mixed signals persist,” said JPMorgan aerospace analyst Joseph Nadol III. Also identifying the gap between the “healthier high end and the still sluggish lower end remained in place, with the strongest numbers coming from Gulfstream.” The sustainability of the private jet market recovery will depend in large part on macro developments, which have shown much volatility over the past few weeks according to JPMorgan. “If another recession begins, the good news for bizjets is that a recovery never took hold in earnest, so the main risk is that it is simply pushed out further,” said JPMorgan.

(August 16, 2011) Consider your options before you charter a private jet and consider the level of service that comes with a private jet charter company. When you charter a private jet from a charter company, you get – unknown private jet availability (will they have an aircraft when you need it?), unknown private jet hourly rates (what will they charge you for your flight if you stay another day or get dropped off for a one way flight?), unknown private jet aircraft (what aircraft do they have to service you?), unknown private jet crew (do the crew members have the experience necessary to fly you into Aspen?), and unknown private jet safety (did the required maintenance take place, did the pilots have the proper training and rest?).

As a Member in our Jet Card Membership program, you’ll enjoy having guaranteed availability of a private jet, with guaranteed hourly rates, with locally-based aircraft and crew you know and trust, with a guaranteed ARG/US standard of safety for each and every flight. How can we offer such a higher level of service – we save the availability of our private jet fleet for our Jet Card Members and do not offer them to the general public. We will though offer all prospective clients a one-time Trial Membership flight to try our service before becoming a Member. As a Member, you’ll also enjoy having no financial strings attached, like a charter jet, since our Jet Card Membership program is totally refundable and never expires. So there’s zero financial risk or long term commitment – only dependable, guaranteed private jet service.

Consider your options before you charter a private jet – do you really want to pay for and rely on an unknown service? Fly smarter – don’t charter. Contact us today to learn more about our risk-free Jet Card Membership program.

(August 1, 2011) Tired of going through the commercial airline ticket counters, intrusive security measures, and wasting valuable time when you see people utilizing private jets all around you? If you are a business traveler or leisure traveler, it might be time for you to consider learning the benefits of buying a private jet or buying a jet card membership with Jet Linx.

How to buy a private jet:
1. Evaluate the cost-benefit before you buy a private jet. Most private jet experts suggest that 200+ hours of flight time per year can usually justify full ownership of a private jet. Otherwise, you should consider a jet card membership with Jet Linx to save you from the commercial airline hassles.
2. Keep in mind the fixed costs that come with a private jet and other necessities such as aviation insurance, jet fuel, maintenance, catering, and pilots. Jet Linx’s Aircraft Management program will identify these costs prior to purchase and take care of these needs after purchase. Along with these necessities you must be prepared for the purchase price of a private jet, that ranges anywhere from $2 million for a quality pre-owned private jet to $50 million for a new transcontinental private jet.
3. Determine the size and range you’ll need for your private jet. Light Jets ($2 million pre-owned to $8 million new) can take 5 to 8 passengers roughly 1,200 nautical miles; Midsize Jets ($2 million pre-owned to $16 million new) can take up to 9 passengers from 2,000 to 3,000 nautical miles, and the Heavy Jets ($6 million pre-owned to $45 million new) can carry 12 passengers more than 4,000 plus nautical miles.
4. Partner with a trusted private jet broker or agent like Jet Linx to help you locate the best private jet to purchase. They’ll research aircraft on and off the market, know of recent transactions for comparison, review log books for airworthiness and condition of aircraft, etc. Do not buy a private jet without a trusted industry resource on your side. You’ll regret it and pay for it over the long term if you do.

Say goodbye to those long commercial airline waits and the unreasonable process just to sit and wait for another hour to board your flight – when you could have already arrived at your destination. Your time is too valuable. Buy a private jet or a jet card membership with Jet Linx. Call us today to learn more.

(July 29, 2011) On Friday, July 22, 2011 the FAA multiyear funding legislation expired after many extensions from the 2007 bill. Effectively, the Federal Excise Taxes, including the 7.5% tax and the Segment Fees, collectively the “F.E.T.” charged hourly for the commercial use of a private jet cannot be assessed until the legislative issue is resolved by the Federal Government.

Once the issue is resolved, there is the potential the Government will make all F.E.T. during this expiration period retroactive to July 22nd. With this in mind, Jet Linx will continue to collect an amount that is equal to the F.E.T. amount that was previously assessed with the assumption that all monies paid will either be remitted to the Government if retroactively assessed, or credited to your account if the Government does not retroactively apply the tax.

(July 28, 2011) Jet Linx – Many fractional jet owners have asked us if they could buy their own private jet and still make it as cost-effective and easy as fractional jet ownership?

If you spend $500k+ per year on private jet travel, we can show you how to own your own private jet without spending any more annually than you already are with your fractional jet ownership provider.

Today’s private jet market values are at record lows and there are many newer, quality private jet aircraft available at prices that will surprise you. There is also huge demand for private jet aircraft in the private jet charter market for generating revenue to offset your ownership expenses.

Jet Linx offers a turnkey aircraft management program to coordinate private jet ownership so you can continue to experience the cost-effectiveness and simplicity of fractional jet ownership, while owning your own private jet.

Here are a few indicators for transitioning from fractional jet ownership to whole private jet ownership:
 You spend $500k or more per year on private jet travel
 You can take advantage of the tax benefits associated with whole aircraft ownership
 You have the need for private jet travel for the next 2 plus years
 You prefer the safety and comfort of flying on the same aircraft, with the same pilots

If you would like to explore whole private jet ownership in more detail, please contact us at any time to get a customized analysis of your private jet ownership options.

(July 19, 2011) Jet Linx – If you’re looking to purchase a private jet or you’re interested in private jets for sale nationwide, look no further. The Jet Linx private jet purchase and private jet sales team is comprised of experienced private jet sales specialists who are able to answer any questions regarding the private jet purchase process and private jets for sale in the marketplace.

The Jet Linx private jet purchase and sales team will make sure all of the important questions regarding private jet ownership are asked and answered – and the answers are completely vetted. Our goal is to ensure you receive the most value from your private jet acquisition and the aircraft purchase meets your needs, today and in the future.

To make the right private jet purchase, it is important to understand that a private jet is not something you want sold to you, rather, it is an asset you want to purchase and put to work for you. Distinguishing the difference is important as many private jet brokers only want to sell you a private jet and therefore don’t take all of the factors into consideration. Our mission is to provide you with as much private jet ownership information as possible so that you can make the most informed buying decision – which sometimes doesn’t result in an aircraft purchase at all.

Jet Linx keeps up with all private jets for sale in the marketplace, initial offer private jet prices, time private jet are on market, most recent actual private jet sale prices, details of the private jet transactions, discounts private jets offer, terms of private jet negotiations, payment arrangements, private jet financing, private jet pre-purchase inspection requirements, FAA regulatory requirements for different types of private jet aircraft, and other private jet purchase and private jet sales transaction details. We also engage the leading private jet attorneys who have the most comprehensive aircraft legal transaction experience and expertise in order to create the proper legal documents and tax structure that protects you as private jet buyer.

Private jets for sale include a number of different private jet types for sale with various ranges of aircraft performance. Since Jet Linx has operated and managed over 20 different types of private jets, we can help guide you through the private jet acquisition process to identify the type of private jet that best fits your needs.

Should you need a long-range private jet, one that’s most economical, the most luxurious private jet appointments, or one that provides the most passenger comfort and convenience, we will help you identify the private jet that best fits your needs. All private jet purchase acquisition factors will be taken into consideration and weighed as different private jet equipment is being considered and evaluated while you are going through the private jet transaction process.

A few questions to ask when purchasing a private jet:
• Do you purchase a Light Jet, Midsize Jet, or Heavy Jet to meet your needs?
• Do you purchase a new private jet or purchase a pre-owned private jet?
• Do you understand the fixed expenses that come with private jet ownership?
• Do you understand the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance expenses?
• Do you understand the tax benefits available to you or your company?
• Do you charter your private jet to create revenue to offset expenses?

Contact us today for more information and options regarding a private jet purchase acquisition or private jet sales transaction.

(July 6, 2011) Jet Linx – Last week President Obama repeatedly disparaged corporate jet owners and operators, apparently to make a case that current aircraft tax depreciation schedules for corporate jet aircraft and general aviation airplanes are too short. Numerous aviation organizations, including the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA), which Jet Linx is a participating member of, have mounted forceful responses to denounce the president’s plan as bad policy by putting the facts about business aviation in front of the news agencies.

Included among the news agencies contacted by the NBAA on behalf of the corporate jet aviation community are the Associated Press, Bloomberg News, CNBC, CNN, Congressional Quarterly, FOX News, MarketWatch Dow Jones, National Public Radio, National Journal, The Wall Street Journal and USA Today. The national media outlets have been receptive to the message about the importance of business aviation and how the president’s misrepresentations of the corporate jet industry are completely unfounded.

CNN aired a “truth check” about the president’s remarks, in which I noted that business aircraft are “products that are manufactured in the United States, maintained in the United States, and, as any small town mayor will tell you, are critical to the future of a lot of our small towns and rural communities without good airline service.”

National Public Radio’s “All Things Considered” interviewed NBAA’s Senior Vice President, Communications Dan Hubbard, who reminded listeners that the president’s remarks “smacked of cynical politics.”

In an interview aired on CNBC, Hubbard of NBAA said, “This is a president who either doesn’t know or simply doesn’t care what all is involved in business aviation, which is the manufacture and use of these airplanes all across the United States. This is an industry that employs about 1.2 million people. It generates about $150 billion a year in economic activity for the country.”

Jet Linx, a private jet card membership and aircraft management company, joined the fight against President Obama’s aircraft tax policy by participating in the NBAA letter campaign to stand up against the president’s position. You too can join the Jet Linx corporate jet aircraft tax policy fight by using the NBAA’s online Contact Congress resource (click here). This easy-to-use online advocacy tool has been effectively utilized to inform lawmakers of business aviation issues in previous legal battles and we encourage you to use it to help us oppose the president’s corporate jet aircraft tax policy for business aviation.

(June 29, 2011) The difference between the private jet charter companies, fractional jet companies, and our Jet Card Membership program is significant.

Our Jet Card Membership program offers you guaranteed availability of a private jet, at guaranteed private jet hourly rates, and at a guaranteed standard of private jet safety – 24/7. We are the only locally based private jet company to boast such a high level of service, right from your backyard. And we take it a step further by offering you all of these guarantees of private jet service “from” and “to” anywhere in the United States, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. A traditional private jet charter company does not offer its clients guaranteed availability, guaranteed hourly rates, or a guaranteed standard of safety.

We also provide our Jet Card Members a Round Trip Hourly Rate that is based on occupied flight time only. Unlike local private jet charter companies, there are no additional charges for pilot wait time, pilot expenses, or overnights. And our Round Trip Rate is often less than half the occupied hourly rate charged by the national fractional jet companies, saving our Members thousands of dollars per flight compared to the national fractional jet companies.

To further the convenience of our Jet Card Membership program, we also offer a One-Way Hourly Rate for occupied flight time only. There are no additional charges for empty legs or deadhead flights after dropping off a Jet Card Member. This pricing structure is totally unique to Jet Linx – on a local basis. A local private jet charter company will charge its customer a Round Trip for the private jet even though it’s a One-Way for the client, by charging the client for the empty leg or deadhead flights to get the private jet in position. While the fractional jet companies will inflate their occupied hourly rate to an amount that also reflects the cost of empty legs or deadhead flights. Our One-Way Hourly Rate saves our Jet Card Members thousands of dollars per One-Way flight when compared to any local private jet charter company.

(May 31, 2011) Maynard Smith has been promoted to Director of Operations, Kari Johnson has assumed the duties of Director of Safety, and Bruce Tuttle has become the Director of Compliance for Jet Linx Aviation. All three gentleman bring a wealth of experience to their positions, from their previous positions, and will make a great team for future success.

Jet Linx would like to recognize and thank Bruce Tuttle for establishing a world-class Safety Management System (SMS) for Jet Linx Aviation. He was assisted by Jet Linx Dallas Safety Manager Andy Brigman, Jet Linx Indianapolis’s John Nagy and the ARG/US PRISM System. Bruce will continue his efforts at Jet Linx teaching CRM, performing base audits and other quality management duties for our growing private jet company.

Bruce has begun the Crew Resource Management (CRM) classes for Omaha, Indianapolis, Dallas and Denver with Client Services, Flight Coordination and some of the base pilots. The remaining pilots will complete the course within the next few weeks. Participation thus far has been great with some very interesting conversations resulting in some great ideas and thoughts about Jet Linx policies and standards.

Jet Linx will begin a new Safety Award Program for further improvement to its private jet safety practices and procedures. Winners will be chosen for the best suggestion or idea that will better the Company’s approach to safety and will receive their award at each quarterly Safety Committee Meeting. Ideas can be submitted by using the HazRep form or the company suggestion form or just an email to your supervisor or Kari Johnson.

Preparation for the scheduled ARG/US and IS‐BAO audits in August continues. Jet Linx Captain Dave Schaben has been completing IS‐BAO protocols, which must be completed before the ARG/US audit can be completed. An internal audit will be performed at Jet Linx Aviation within the next two months.

The number of PRIMS HazRep forms being received at the Safety Desk is very encouraging and it is a good sign that the development of the safety culture continues to grow. Some employees are asking about signing on the PRISM website. If you have trouble with the log on, contact Kari Johnson or Bruce Tuttle and they will assist you.

Jet Linx Aviation is a locally-focused private jet company founded as a more personalized approach to the national private jet companies. Jet Linx offers two different private jet travel programs, Jet Card Membership and Aircraft Management. Jet Linx is an ARG/US Platinum safety rated operator, an award earned by less than 2% of private jet operators in the United States. Jet Linx is headquartered in Omaha, NE and has bases in Omaha, Indianapolis, Dallas and Denver as of today.

(May 10, 2011) Jet Linx Aviation, a focused Jet Card Membership and Aircraft Management company, earned its International Operations for Europe and its large cabin private jet aircraft carrying 10 or more passengers, which is an addition to its International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) certification.

IS-BAO is recognized by the private jet aviation authorities worldwide as the highest standard for safety, security and efficiency in business aircraft operations. The IS-BAO program provides a quality management approach to analyzing, controlling and mitigating private jet risk via performance based-standards and guidance protocols for the private jet operator’s Safety Management System (SMS), including aircraft management structure, pilot training programs, private jet operating procedures, and private jet manuals. IS-BAO certification requires a complete third-party audit by an IBAC accredited auditor of the private jet operator.

Jet Linx’s Director of Operations, Kari Johnson, said, “This is an accomplishment we earned by working hand-in-hand with our FAA FSDO, who has done an excellent job of supporting our growth.” The new authority allows Jet Linx to operate its fleet of aircraft across Europe, which is a growing demand from its client base. The European private jet authority is in addition to Jet Linx’s authority to operate private jet aircraft in the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, Bahamas, Mexico and Central America.

Examples of Heavy Jet aircraft provided by Jet Linx Aviation or its approved FAR Part 135 operators, for European private jet travel from Jet Linx Aviation are, the Falcon 50, Falcon 2000, Falcon 900, Citation X, Challenger 300, Challenger 600, Challenger 601, Challenger 604, Legacy 600, Gulfstream G200, Gulfstream III, Gulfstream IV, Gulfstream G450, Gulfstream V, Gulfstream G500, Gulfstream G550, Gulfstream G650, and Global Express.

Jet Linx Aviation is a Jet Membership and Aircraft Management company with base partnership locations nationwide to provide its clients with an unparalleled level of personalized service and value. Today, Jet Linx has locations in Omaha, Indianapolis, Dallas and Denver.

(June 22, 2011) The FAA recently published a notice announcing its plan to dismantle the Block Aircraft Registration Request (BARR) program for private jet aircraft owners on August 1, 2011.

The BARR provides a private jet aircraft owner means to opt out of having the details of their flight operations broadcast through Aircraft Situation Display to Industry data (ASDI). That information, which is disseminated to the public through a number of vendors, includes the location, point of origin and destination of both commercial and general aviation aircraft, identifying them by tail number and detailing their flight plans. The FAA’s new rule would make the BARR unavailable to all but a few private jet owner operators.

The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA), Aircraft Owners and Operators Association (AOPA), and the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) is filing suit to stop the government. They feel the FAA’s plan to restrict the BARR program would be an invasion of privacy for the private jet owner, a threat to the competitiveness of U.S. companies, and a potential risk to persons traveling on a general aviation aircraft. “The BARR program is important for privacy reasons, for competitive reasons and for security reasons,” said Ed Bolen of NBAA. “Congress recognized that when they created the program, and they’re considering legislation right now that would preserve the program.”

The dismantling of the BARR program has no effect on the privacy of individual passenger information, it is only the aircraft owner’s information being provided through the registration of the aircraft. Therefore, passengers flying through fractional ownership programs, private jet charter, and jet card membership companies fall under the umbrella of the private jet operator and aircraft owner; their individual, personal information is not made available.

Jet Linx clients fly under the Jet Linx Aviation fleet so their individual information is protected under our Company umbrella (flights register as Jet Linx, not client name) and we have an exclusive FAA call-sign not made public. Therefore, our Jet Card Members’ privacy is protected.

(June 17, 2011) The Missouri River flood is continuing to rise and threaten Omaha, NE, Eppley Airfield and the operations of our private jet service. Please rest assured we are staying vigilant and in communication with the Omaha Airport Authority and contracted surveyors to ensure our private jet operations at Eppley Airfield remain safe.

In the event the conditions at Eppley Airfield change to levels where we feel there is a chance of flooding at the Airport, we have secured operating space at the Lincoln Airport for continued, uninterrupted private jet operations. As a precaution and in preparation for our Lincoln contingency plan, we have loaded a mobile unit with all essential operating equipment for evacuation at a moment’s notice and it will remain mobile during off business hours.

Please also note, our Corporate Offices, which houses our Executive Team, Flight Operations, Flight Coordination, Flight Optimization, Accounting Department, Information Technology, etc, are located at 120th and Blondo Street. Therefore the backbone of the operation is not located at Eppley Airfield and has no threat from the Missouri River flood.

We hope you, your family and your business are not in any danger of the Missouri River flood threat.

(August 26, 2009) OMAHA,NE (OMA): Jet Linx Aviation LLC today successfully completed a three day on-site audit by Aviation Research Group (ARG/US) resulting in a renewal of it’s Platinum rating, the highest rating given to FAA Part 135 operators.
There are approximately 2,300 Part 135 operators in the United States, Aviation Research Group has awarded a Platinum rating to only 71 of those operators. The ARG/US audit verifies that all aspects of flight operations are conducted using industry best practices and that the operator has an overriding commitment to safety.

In addition, ARG/US recommended that Jet Linx be registered as an International Standard for Business Aircraft Operation (IS-BAO) approved Stage One compliant company. The IS-BAO registration confirms that Jet Linx management staff has embraced safety as the primary objective in conducting both ground and flight operations and has developed a well documented safety program which covers all components of a good Safety Management System.

“By the continued establishment of our high standards and safe operations, Jet Linx Aviation maintains their allegiance to the safety of their members and owners and continues its elite standing within all operators nationwide” stated Jamie Walker, Chief Executive Officer.

Jet Linx Aviation is a locally focused private jet travel company, founded as a more personalized approach to the existing nationally based private jet travel companies. Jet Linx has locations in Omaha, NE (Eppley Airfield), Dallas, TX (Love Field) and Indianapolis, IN (Indianapolis International Airport). Jet Linx offers two different private jet travel programs; membership and aircraft management, providing its local clients with an all encompassing, local solution to private jet travel.
